Even though I am a bit of a shopaholic. Okay a bit is a understatement. But basically even though I love to shop, I am a not a fan of sales. Okay so that may sound weird, but my idea of hell is a messy, busy shop with clothes all over the floor from two years ago that shops are trying to flog, which is why I just online shop these days. So to my suprise I actually went into a store and swiftly exited with a purchase! This little beuat that I got from Primarni *cough* Primark *cough* and you all know that I am a sucker for a statement necklace so I most definately could not resist this little number! *smug face*
…there will always be a “Black History Month” inspired shoot done. X by IDRIS & TONY, stylist: KAREEM JAMES, grooming: MICHAEL ANTHONY using Moroccan Oil and this fabulous model: ADONIS BOSSO @ DNA Models, is definitely depicting the late, great, civil rights activist Mr. Malcom X.
Puma X Solange Girls of Blaze collection is out. And it is what we expected: very Solange; she is creative director after all! collection collaborated with New York artists: William Okpo, Darlene and Lizzy Okpo (Nigerian Design label owned by sisters), Gerlan Marcel (of Gerlan Jeans) and Hisham Bharoocha; the collection speaks truth to Solange’s style and vision for the brand, which is a good change! Gotta love the vibrant colours and very Diana Ross inspiration with the ‘do. The photography and direction of the shoot was done by the awesome Alan Ferguson.
The sneakers will be unveiled on Saturday 8th February 2014.
I have been eyeing up this coat for the past 2 months online and finally went into a New Look store and tried it on and my online stalking had proven this to be the right choice because it fit me like a glove. The coat of course is part of the oversized/ boyfriend coat trends that we have seen a lot on fashion week runways and it of course is a autumn/winter wardrobe staple. This trend I adore so much because it reminds me of a Pretty Woman / Curly Sue (the character Grey Ellison wears them a lot in the film) and I am a srong advocate of wearing anything vintage, which drew me to the coat even more…

So as you can see I’ve been having a makeup crisis lately. I love MAC’s foundation and would never leave the house without it on (yes , I am that vain! ) and I usually use the MAC Studio Fluid Fix, but ran out last month and when I went into the store for a replacement they had run out *the horror*. The man that worked in MAC suggested the Pro Longwear foundation in the same colour I use instead (NC50)and he fed me some speech about it being more ‘updated, longlasting and having a better full coverage’ and I’m such an idiot because I bought his louzy speech/ or it might have been the desperation – I’m not quite sure. The pro longwear was good, but I felt that once it was on face it made me look a bit pale and was not as ‘long wear’ing as I would have liked (that is why only half the bottle is shown here , had to use it a little lol ) , so anyhoo thankfully once I got my hands on a few pounds I rushed to the store and bought my trusted studio fix fluid, which actually stays on longer, has a richer colour and has a better coverage on my face. I am one happy woman right now.
